Role: Dendro Support / Healer / Reaction Buffer
Best For: Players who want strong teamwide healing, interruption resistance, and Dendro reaction support in Quicken, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Bloom teams.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Deepwood Memories — A strong option when no other teammate is using the set, reducing enemy Dendro RES and improving Dendro and Bloom-related team damage.
Alternative: 4-Piece Ocean-Hued Clam can convert Baizhu’s large amount of healing into additional damage. 4-Piece Noblesse Oblige is also useful when supporting an ATK-scaling damage dealer.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: Jadefall’s Splendor
Alternatives: Favonius Codex, Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
F2P: Prototype Amber
Jadefall’s Splendor provides HP and Energy restoration, but Prototype Amber is an excellent craftable alternative that also helps Baizhu meet his Energy requirements while providing additional team healing. The difference is small enough that his signature weapon is far from necessary.
3. Recommended Teams
Alhaitham Quickbloom: Alhaitham + Fischl + Furina + Baizhu
Cyno Quickbloom: Cyno + Furina + Nahida + Baizhu
Neuvillette Hyperbloom: Neuvillette + Furina + Raiden Shogun + Baizhu
Baizhu works particularly well with on-field characters who consistently trigger Dendro reactions. His healing and small recurring shields improve survivability, while his passive can increase the active character’s Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction damage.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: Energy Recharge / HP%
Goblet: HP%
Circlet: HP% / Healing Bonus
Priority: Energy Recharge → HP% up to 50,000 HP → Elemental Mastery
Baizhu should first have enough Energy Recharge to use his Burst consistently, then focus on HP. His reaction buff reaches its maximum benefit at 50,000 Max HP, making this a useful target once his Energy requirements are covered.
5. Playstyle
Use Baizhu’s Elemental Skill for teamwide healing and Dendro application, then activate his Elemental Burst before switching to your main on-field character.
His Burst periodically creates Seamless Shields and heals the active character when those shields refresh or break. The shields themselves are relatively weak and are better viewed as interruption resistance rather than traditional heavy-duty protection.
6. F2P
Baizhu is very F2P-friendly because Prototype Amber is craftable and provides exactly what his support build needs: HP, Energy restoration, and additional healing.
His personal damage is relatively unimportant, so expensive offensive weapons and CRIT-heavy artifacts are unnecessary for a standard support build. Prioritize reliable Burst uptime and HP instead.
*StoryBillion Tip: Baizhu’s shields are not designed to absorb large amounts of damage like Zhongli’s shield. Their main value is providing repeated interruption resistance while Baizhu simultaneously heals and buffs Dendro reactions, so build him around Energy Recharge and HP rather than Shield Strength.
