4-Piece Thundering Fury — A strong option for Cyno in reaction-focused teams, increasing Electro reaction damage while reducing his Elemental Skill cooldown during his Burst.
Alternative: 4-Piece Gilded Dreams provides ATK and Elemental Mastery based on the team composition, making it another strong choice for Aggravate and Quickbloom teams.

F2P: White Tassel
Staff of the Scarlet Sands is Cyno’s signature weapon and works especially well with his Elemental Mastery-focused builds by converting part of his Elemental Mastery into ATK.
White Tassel is a surprisingly useful F2P option because its CRIT Rate and Normal Attack DMG Bonus both benefit Cyno during his Burst.

Quickbloom: Cyno + Furina + Nahida + Baizhu
Aggravate: Cyno + Fischl + Nahida + Zhongli
Hyperbloom: Cyno + Nahida + Yelan + Kuki Shinobu
Cyno works particularly well with Dendro because his Burst provides sustained Electro attacks that can repeatedly trigger Aggravate and Hyperbloom-related reactions. Teammates with long-lasting off-field abilities are especially valuable because Cyno prefers to remain on-field for an extended period.

Priority: Energy Recharge as needed → CRIT → Elemental Mastery → ATK%
Elemental Mastery is particularly valuable in reaction-focused teams and becomes even stronger when Cyno uses Staff of the Scarlet Sands. ATK% remains a viable option depending on his weapon and artifact substats.
5. Playstyle
Set up Dendro, Hydro, shields, and other off-field abilities before activating Cyno’s Elemental Burst. His Burst converts his attacks to Electro and becomes his primary damage window, so avoid switching characters unnecessarily because doing so ends the Burst.
During his Burst, watch for the Endseer visual indicator and use Cyno’s Elemental Skill when it appears. Correctly timing these Skills activates additional Duststalker Bolts and is an important part of maximizing his damage.
6. F2P
Cyno does not require his signature weapon to perform well. White Tassel is an accessible 3-star option with useful CRIT Rate and a passive that strengthens his Normal Attacks.
F2P players should focus on maintaining enough Energy Recharge for consistent Burst rotations and building a reliable Dendro reaction team. Strong reaction support is generally more important than obtaining a premium weapon.
*StoryBillion Tip: Cyno loses his Elemental Burst state when you switch characters, so teammates with short-duration buffs can expire before his rotation ends. Supports with long-lasting off-field abilities are usually much more comfortable for Cyno’s extended field time.
