Raiden Shogun

4-Piece Emblem of Severed Fate — A strong general option for Raiden Shogun, providing Energy Recharge while converting part of it into additional Elemental Burst damage.
Alternative: 4-Piece Gilded Dreams can be used for an Elemental Mastery-focused Raiden in Hyperbloom teams.

Premium: Engulfing Lightning
Alternatives: Staff of Homa, Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, Wavebreaker’s Fin
F2P: The Catch

Engulfing Lightning is Raiden’s signature weapon and works especially well with her Energy Recharge-focused build, converting Energy Recharge into additional ATK while also helping maintain her Burst.

The Catch is an excellent F2P option because it provides Energy Recharge while increasing Elemental Burst DMG and Burst CRIT Rate, matching Raiden’s standard playstyle extremely well.

Raiden National: Raiden Shogun + Xingqiu + Xiangling + Bennett
Hypercarry: Raiden Shogun + Kujou Sara + Kazuha + Bennett
Hyperbloom: Raiden Shogun + Nahida + Xingqiu + Yelan

Raiden fits into several different team styles. Her standard builds focus on Elemental Burst damage and Energy support, while Hyperbloom teams instead build her with Elemental Mastery and use her Skill to trigger Dendro Cores from off-field.

Sands: Energy Recharge / ATK%
Goblet: Electro DMG Bonus / ATK%
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Priority: Energy Recharge → CRIT → ATK%

Raiden benefits heavily from Energy Recharge because it supports her Burst uptime, Energy restoration, and Electro DMG Bonus through her passive. The exact balance between Energy Recharge and ATK depends on her weapon and team buffs.

Hyperbloom Raiden uses a completely different build and should instead prioritize Elemental Mastery on her Sands, Goblet, and Circlet.

Use Raiden’s Elemental Skill before setting up the other characters’ abilities. As teammates use their Elemental Bursts, Raiden builds Resolve, which increases the damage of her own Burst.

After the team’s other Bursts have been used, activate Raiden’s Elemental Burst and attack during the Musou Isshin state. These attacks deal Electro damage while restoring Energy to the party, helping prepare everyone for the next rotation.

Raiden is very F2P-friendly because The Catch is obtainable through fishing and provides nearly everything her standard Burst-focused build wants.

She also works well with accessible characters such as Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Bennett. F2P players should prioritize enough Energy Recharge for consistent rotations and then build a balanced combination of CRIT and ATK.
