Neuvillette

4-Piece Marechaussee Hunter — The recommended set for Neuvillette. His Charged Attacks naturally cause HP changes, making it easy to activate the set’s CRIT Rate bonus while also benefiting from increased Charged Attack damage.

Alternative: 4-Piece Heart of Depth — Provides Hydro DMG and Charged Attack bonuses and works well while farming a stronger Marechaussee Hunter set. Marechaussee Hunter remains noticeably stronger for a standard DPS build.

Premium: Tome of the Eternal Flow
Alternatives: Sacrificial Jade, Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
F2P: Prototype Amber

Tome of the Eternal Flow is Neuvillette’s signature weapon and provides CRIT DMG, HP, Charged Attack damage, and Energy benefits that match his kit extremely well. Prototype Amber is an excellent craftable option because Neuvillette benefits directly from HP and can also use its Energy restoration.

Hypercarry: Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Xilonen
Comfort: Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Zhongli
Hyperbloom: Neuvillette + Nahida + Raiden Shogun + Furina

Neuvillette works in many different teams, but his passive rewards triggering different Hydro-related reactions. Supports that reduce Hydro RES or provide useful damage bonuses are especially valuable, while shielders can make his Charged Attacks more comfortable at C0 by preventing interruption.

Sands: HP%
Goblet: Hydro DMG Bonus or HP%
Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG

Substats: Energy Recharge until requirement > CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > HP%

Neuvillette’s damage scales primarily with Max HP, so ATK is not an important stat for his standard build. Make sure he has enough Energy Recharge to Burst reliably, then prioritize CRIT and HP% for additional damage.

Use Neuvillette’s Elemental Skill and Burst to create Sourcewater Droplets. Absorbing these droplets dramatically shortens the charging time of his special Charged Attack, allowing him to unleash powerful Hydro beams without waiting for the normal charge.

His gameplay revolves around repeatedly creating droplets and converting them into enhanced Charged Attacks. Positioning matters because the beam can hit multiple enemies, while interruption resistance from teammates can make his rotations much easier at C0.

Neuvillette is very accessible to build without a 5-star weapon. Prototype Amber is craftable and provides HP%, Energy restoration, and additional team healing, all of which are useful to him.

A C0 Neuvillette with Prototype Amber and a good Marechaussee Hunter set can already perform his main DPS role effectively. Prioritize his Charged Attack damage, reliable Burst usage, and strong artifact stats before worrying about premium weapon upgrades.
