Role: Off-Field Hydro Support / Reaction Support
Best For: Lunar Reaction teams that need off-field Hydro application and additional team utility.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Silken Moon’s Serenade — The recommended support set for Aino. Its Energy Recharge helps with Burst uptime while its 4-piece effect provides team-wide Elemental Mastery and increases Lunar Reaction damage.
Alternative: 4-Piece Noblesse Oblige — A useful alternative when another character is already using Silken Moon’s Serenade, especially for teams that can benefit from its ATK buff.
Aino’s personal damage usually isn’t the main reason to use her, so artifact investment should focus first on keeping her Burst available and improving the team’s overall performance.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: Makhaira Aquamarine
Alternatives: Favonius Greatsword, Sacrificial Greatsword
F2P: Master Key
Favonius Greatsword is one of Aino’s most practical weapons because Energy Recharge helps maintain her Burst while the extra particles can also support the rest of the team. If using it, build enough CRIT Rate to trigger its passive reliably.
Master Key provides Energy Recharge and is craftable, making it a useful accessible option when Favonius Greatsword isn’t available. Makhaira Aquamarine can instead provide additional team utility in compositions that benefit from its ATK buff.
3. Recommended Teams
Lunar-Charged: Aino + Flins + Ineffa + Sucrose
Lunar-Crystallize: Aino + Zibai + Linnea + Illuga
Lunar-Bloom: Aino + Columbina + Lauma + Baizhu
Aino is especially valuable in Lunar Reaction teams because her Burst provides off-field Hydro application while her Nod-Krai status helps teams reach higher Moonsign levels.
She works particularly well as an accessible Hydro option in Lunar-Charged and Lunar-Crystallize teams, while her pairing with other Nod-Krai characters can activate Ascendant Gleam and strengthen the team’s Lunar-focused effects.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: Energy Recharge or Elemental Mastery
Goblet: Elemental Mastery
Circlet: Elemental Mastery or CRIT Rate with Favonius Greatsword
Substats: Energy Recharge > Elemental Mastery > CRIT Rate with Favonius Greatsword
Energy Recharge should be the first priority until Aino can comfortably use her Burst every rotation. Her exact requirement changes depending on the team, weapon, Constellations, and available particle generation.
After meeting her Energy needs, Elemental Mastery becomes more useful for reaction-focused builds. CRIT Rate mainly becomes important when using Favonius Greatsword and trying to activate its particle-generating passive consistently.
5. Playstyle
Aino’s main job is to deploy her abilities and then leave the field. Use her Elemental Skill for damage and Energy generation before activating her Elemental Burst to establish her off-field Hydro application.
Once her Burst is active, switch to the team’s main damage dealer and allow Aino to support reactions from off-field. Her short field time makes her easy to fit into rotations without taking much time away from the primary DPS.
In Lunar-focused teams, maintaining reliable Burst uptime is generally more valuable than trying to maximize Aino’s personal damage.
6. F2P
Aino is relatively easy to build as a support because her main priority is reliable Burst uptime rather than expensive offensive stats. Master Key provides an accessible craftable weapon option, while support artifact sets allow her to contribute without requiring highly optimized pieces.
Players with Favonius Greatsword can also use it as a particularly strong general-purpose option, even though it comes from Wishes rather than being a guaranteed F2P weapon. Focus resources on Energy Recharge and team utility before investing heavily into Aino’s personal damage.
StoryBillion Tip: Don’t sacrifice reliable Burst uptime just to increase Aino’s personal damage. Getting enough Energy Recharge to use her Burst consistently is usually the most important part of making her feel comfortable in a team.
