Best For: Players who want strong Elemental Mastery buffs, Viridescent Venerer RES reduction, and flexible Swirl support for reaction-focused teams.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Viridescent Venerer — Recommended for most Sucrose teams because it increases Swirl damage and reduces enemy resistance to the element she Swirls.
Alternative: 4-Piece Instructor can provide additional Elemental Mastery in teams where Viridescent Venerer is unnecessary or already covered. Deepwood Memories can also be used in certain Dendro teams where Dendro RES reduction is more valuable.
For general support use, Viridescent Venerer remains the most useful option because Sucrose can combine its RES reduction with the Elemental Mastery buffs already provided by her own kit.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: A Thousand Floating Dreams
Alternatives: Sacrificial Fragments, Hakushin Ring, Favonius Codex
F2P: Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers / Magic Guide
Sucrose has several excellent inexpensive weapon options. Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers can provide a large ATK buff to the next character switched in, making it especially valuable when supporting an ATK-scaling carry.
Sacrificial Fragments provides a large amount of Elemental Mastery and can grant an additional Skill use, while Magic Guide is a simple 3-star EM option for reaction-focused builds.
3. Recommended Teams
Vaporize: Tartaglia + Xiangling + Sucrose + Bennett
Aggravate: Keqing + Fischl + Sucrose + Nahida
Electro-Charged: Sucrose + Xingqiu + Fischl + Beidou
Sucrose is especially effective in reaction teams because she provides both Elemental Mastery and Elemental RES reduction. When she triggers Swirl, teammates matching the Swirled element gain 50 EM, while hitting an enemy with her Skill or Burst provides an additional EM buff based on 20% of Sucrose’s own EM.
She can also remain on-field and use her Anemo Catalyst attacks to continuously trigger Swirl while activating off-field abilities from teammates such as Xingqiu, Fischl, Yelan, and Beidou.

Sands: Elemental Mastery
Goblet: Elemental Mastery
Circlet: Elemental Mastery
Priority: Elemental Mastery → Energy Recharge if Burst is needed → CRIT Rate with Favonius
Sucrose generally wants triple Elemental Mastery main stats. EM increases her Swirl and other transformative reaction damage while also strengthening the Elemental Mastery buff provided to her teammates.
Her Burst is not required every rotation in many teams, so Energy Recharge should not automatically be prioritized over EM. If using Favonius Codex, obtain some CRIT Rate through substats to activate its passive reliably.
5. Playstyle
Apply Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo to an enemy first, then use Sucrose’s Elemental Skill to trigger Swirl, activate Viridescent Venerer, group nearby enemies, and provide her Elemental Mastery buffs.
Her Burst creates a larger Wind Spirit that repeatedly pulls enemies and can absorb Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. At C6, successfully absorbing an element also grants the party a 20% DMG Bonus for that corresponding element while the Burst remains active.
Sucrose can either switch out after providing her buffs or remain on-field as a reaction driver. Her Normal and Charged Attacks deal Anemo damage, allowing her to trigger frequent Swirls without needing an Anemo infusion.
6. F2P
Sucrose is extremely F2P-friendly because some of her most useful weapons are inexpensive 3-star and 4-star Catalysts.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers can provide a powerful ATK buff without requiring high investment, while Magic Guide provides Elemental Mastery for her reaction-focused build. Her core support value primarily comes from Viridescent Venerer, EM sharing, and Swirl rather than premium equipment.
F2P players should prioritize leveling Sucrose to Level 90, obtaining 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer, and stacking Elemental Mastery. Level 90 is particularly valuable because Swirl and other transformative reaction damage scale strongly with character level.
*StoryBillion Tip: Sucrose’s value is not determined by her Talent levels. Most of her damage comes from Swirl and other transformative reactions, while her support comes from Elemental Mastery and Viridescent Venerer. Level 90 and high EM are therefore much more important than heavily investing in her Normal Attack, Skill, or Burst Talent levels.
