Role: On-Field Anemo DPS / Multi-Element Charged Attack Carry
Best For: Players who want a highly mobile on-field DPS who converts teammates’ elements into powerful multi-element Charged Attack damage and works especially well with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo teammates.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Obsidian Codex — Recommended for Chasca because she consistently consumes Nightsoul points while using her Elemental Skill, allowing the set to provide a large CRIT Rate bonus during her main damage window.
Alternative: 4-Piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence can increase her Charged Attack damage, but its Energy consumption makes her Burst less convenient to use. Mixed 2-Piece sets can also work temporarily while farming a strong Obsidian Codex set.
For general use, Obsidian Codex is the most natural choice because Chasca’s Nightsoul mechanics activate it automatically and allow her artifacts to invest more heavily into CRIT DMG and ATK.

Premium: Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage
Alternatives: The First Great Magic, Aqua Simulacra, Flower-Wreathed Feathers
F2P: Chain Breaker
Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage is Chasca’s signature weapon and provides CRIT DMG while strongly increasing Charged Attack damage when her party contains characters with different elemental types.
Chain Breaker is a practical craftable F2P option because its passive rewards parties containing characters with different elemental types, matching Chasca’s preference for mixed-element teams.
3. Recommended Teams
Premium: Chasca + Furina + Bennett + Ororon
Freeze/Melt: Chasca + Furina + Citlali + Bennett
Accessible: Chasca + Layla + Barbara + Bennett
Chasca strongly prefers Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo teammates because her Elemental Skill can convert her Shadowhunt Shells into elemental Shining Shadowhunt Shells based on these party elements. Using several eligible elements allows her Charged Attacks to deal multiple elemental damage types without relying primarily on Anemo damage.
This makes team composition especially important for Chasca. Characters who provide buffs, healing, shields, or off-field utility while contributing an eligible element are generally more valuable than adding another Anemo, Geo, or Dendro character.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: ATK%
Goblet: ATK%
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Priority: CRIT → ATK% → Energy Recharge if needed
Unlike most Anemo damage dealers, Chasca generally prefers an ATK% Goblet rather than Anemo DMG Bonus. Much of her damage is converted into Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo depending on her teammates, so Anemo DMG Bonus does not improve a large portion of her actual damage.
Obsidian Codex already provides substantial CRIT Rate during combat, so remember to include its effect when balancing her CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG.
5. Playstyle
Use Chasca’s Elemental Skill to enter Nightsoul’s Blessing and mount her Soulsniper. Hold her Normal Attack to begin loading Shadowhunt Shells, then release the Charged Attack once the chambers are loaded to fire them at enemies.
Her passive converts some of these shells into different elemental damage types according to the Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo characters in the party. This is the core of Chasca’s gameplay and the reason mixed-element teams are so important for her.
Set up your teammates’ buffs and off-field abilities first, then switch to Chasca for her main damage window. Prioritize her Elemental Skill first, followed by her Burst. Her Normal Attack Talent does not increase the main Charged Attack damage performed during her Skill state.
6. F2P
Chasca can perform well without her signature weapon. Chain Breaker is craftable and fits her mixed-element team requirements naturally, making it a practical permanent F2P choice.
Accessible supports such as Bennett, Ororon, and Barbara can also provide eligible elements while supplying buffs, off-field damage, or healing. This allows players to build a functional Chasca team without requiring an entire lineup of limited 5-star characters.
F2P players should prioritize a strong 4-Piece Obsidian Codex set, balanced CRIT and ATK stats, and an appropriate mixed-element team before worrying about obtaining her signature weapon.
*StoryBillion Tip: Do not automatically equip an Anemo DMG Bonus Goblet on Chasca. Her Skill converts much of her main Charged Attack damage into Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo based on her teammates, which makes ATK% the more generally useful Goblet choice.
