Illuga

4-Piece Silken Moon’s Serenade — Recommended for Lunar-Crystallize teams because Illuga can provide additional team support through the set while performing his normal Skill and Burst rotation. At C2, he can maintain the set’s buff much more consistently through his off-field Geo damage.

Alternative: 2-Piece Elemental Mastery + 2-Piece Elemental Mastery combinations are straightforward options for maximizing the EM that strengthens Illuga’s Nightingale’s Song buff. Before C2, these combinations can also be more consistent than relying on limited Silken Moon’s Serenade uptime.

Premium: Lumidouce Elegy
Alternatives: Dragon’s Bane, Kitain Cross Spear
F2P: Favonius Lance

Illuga primarily wants Elemental Mastery and enough Energy Recharge to use his Burst consistently. EM strengthens his Nightingale’s Song buff, while Energy Recharge ensures that the most important part of his kit remains available every rotation.

Favonius Lance is particularly practical because it helps solve Illuga’s Energy requirements while also generating additional Energy for his teammates.

Premium Lunar-Crystallize: Zibai + Illuga + Linnea + Columbina
Lunar-Crystallize: Zibai + Illuga + Aino + Zhongli
Navia: Navia + Illuga + Columbina + Yelan

Illuga is particularly valuable alongside Zibai because his buffs strongly enhance direct Lunar-Crystallize damage. However, Illuga cannot enable Lunar-Crystallize by himself, so these teams require a character capable of enabling the reaction.

Outside Lunar-Crystallize teams, Illuga can still support Geo damage dealers such as Navia, Itto, and Noelle. Geo Constructs are useful because each one can provide additional Nightingale’s Song stacks, including Moondrifts created through Lunar-Crystallize.

Sands: Elemental Mastery / Energy Recharge
Goblet: Elemental Mastery
Circlet: Elemental Mastery / CRIT Rate with Favonius
Priority: Energy Recharge until needed → Elemental Mastery → CRIT Rate with Favonius

Illuga should first obtain enough Energy Recharge to activate his Burst consistently. After that, Elemental Mastery becomes his main priority because it improves the damage bonus provided by Nightingale’s Song.

If using Favonius Lance, build enough CRIT Rate to trigger its passive reliably. Illuga’s own damage is relatively low, so conventional offensive stats are much less important than EM and reliable Burst uptime.

Use Illuga’s Elemental Skill to generate Geo particles, then activate his Elemental Burst before switching to your main damage dealer. His Burst grants Nightingale’s Song stacks that increase the damage of qualifying Geo attacks and direct Lunar-Crystallize damage.

Illuga begins with 21 Nightingale’s Song stacks, and Geo Constructs created during the effect can add more stacks. Up to three Constructs can provide additional stacks, making Lunar-Crystallize Moondrifts particularly useful because they also count as Geo Constructs.

Illuga requires very little field time, so his standard gameplay is simple: Skill → Burst → switch to your damage dealer. Prioritize Burst when leveling his talents.

Illuga is F2P-friendly because his personal damage is not the focus of his build. Favonius Lance provides useful Energy Recharge and additional team Energy, while accessible EM weapons such as Dragon’s Bane can strengthen his buffs when his Energy requirements are already covered.

F2P players should prioritize Burst uptime and Elemental Mastery rather than investing heavily into CRIT or personal Geo damage. His primary value comes from improving the damage of his teammates, especially in Lunar-Crystallize teams.
