Role: On-Field Geo DPS / Lunar-Crystallize Carry
Best For: Players who want a DEF-scaling Geo carry built specifically around Lunar-Crystallize, with strong sustained damage and relatively straightforward on-field gameplay.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Night of the Sky’s Unveiling — Recommended for Zibai because her functional teams can activate Ascendant Gleam, allowing the set to provide Elemental Mastery, a large CRIT Rate bonus, and increased Lunar Reaction damage for the team.
Alternative: 4-Piece Husk of Opulent Dreams can be used while farming her recommended set. A combination of 2-Piece Husk of Opulent Dreams + 2-Piece Elemental Mastery is another temporary option, but both fall noticeably behind a properly built Night of the Sky’s Unveiling set.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: Lightbearing Moonshard
Alternatives: Uraku Misugiri, Light of Foliar Incision
F2P: Flute of Ezpitzal / Harbinger of Dawn
Lightbearing Moonshard is Zibai’s signature weapon and directly complements her DEF scaling and Lunar-Crystallize damage. Uraku Misugiri is another strong option because Zibai benefits greatly from both DEF and CRIT DMG.
For accessible builds, Flute of Ezpitzal provides useful DEF%, while R5 Harbinger of Dawn can perform surprisingly well if Zibai can reliably remain above its HP threshold.
3. Recommended Teams
Premium Lunar-Crystallize: Zibai + Linnea + Columbina + Illuga
Lunar-Crystallize: Zibai + Linnea + Aino + Illuga
Comfort: Zibai + Linnea + Columbina + Zhongli
Zibai strongly prefers Geo and Hydro teammates. Geo characters increase the DEF she receives from her passive, while Hydro characters increase her Elemental Mastery and provide the elemental application required for Lunar-Crystallize.
Linnea and Illuga are particularly valuable partners because of their direct synergy with Lunar-Crystallize, while Zhongli can trade some offensive potential for an extremely comfortable shield and additional Geo RES reduction.

Sands: DEF%
Goblet: DEF%
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Priority: CRIT → DEF% → Elemental Mastery → Energy Recharge
Unlike many Geo damage dealers, Zibai generally prefers a DEF% Goblet instead of Geo DMG Bonus because most of her important damage scales heavily with DEF.
Her Burst can be useful when available, but building enough Energy Recharge specifically to use it every rotation is generally not recommended. Prioritize CRIT and DEF instead, with Elemental Mastery providing additional value for Lunar-Crystallize.
5. Playstyle
Use Zibai’s Elemental Skill to enter Lunar Phase Shift, then keep her on-field and use Normal Attacks to build Phase Shift Radiance while the team continuously triggers Lunar-Crystallize.
Once enough Radiance is available, use her enhanced Elemental Skill, Spirit Steed’s Stride, which forms a major part of her damage. Continue cycling between Normal Attacks and enhanced Skill uses throughout her field time.
Her Burst should generally be used when Energy is naturally available rather than sacrificing valuable offensive stats just to guarantee it every rotation. Her Elemental Skill is the core of her gameplay and primary talent priority.
6. F2P
Zibai has surprisingly practical low-cost weapon options. Flute of Ezpitzal provides DEF through a craftable weapon, while Harbinger of Dawn offers substantial CRIT value if its HP requirement can be maintained.
F2P players should prioritize a proper Lunar-Crystallize team before worrying about premium weapons. Zibai’s performance depends heavily on maintaining the correct Geo-Hydro team structure and reaction setup, so compatible teammates can matter more than upgrading from a strong accessible weapon to an expensive alternative.
*StoryBillion Tip: Don’t automatically give Zibai a Geo DMG Bonus Goblet just because she is a Geo DPS. DEF% is generally the recommended Goblet because so much of her important damage scales with DEF. A strong DEF% Goblet with good CRIT substats can therefore be considerably more valuable than a traditional Geo Goblet.
