Role: Anemo Support / Elemental DMG Buffer & Crowd Control
Best For: Players who want a highly flexible support that can group enemies, reduce Elemental RES through Swirl, and increase Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo damage.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Viridescent Venerer — Recommended for support Kazuha because triggering Swirl reduces the enemy’s resistance to the Swirled element while also increasing his Swirl damage.
Alternative: 4-Piece Thundering Fury can be used in specialized Aggravate or Electro-Charged quickswap teams, but Viridescent Venerer remains the standard choice for general support.
For most teams, there is little reason to replace Viridescent Venerer because its resistance reduction combines directly with Kazuha’s own Elemental DMG Bonus.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: Freedom-Sworn
Alternatives: Xiphos’ Moonlight, Favonius Sword, Sacrificial Sword
F2P: Iron Sting / Fleuve Cendre Ferryman
Freedom-Sworn provides Elemental Mastery while offering additional team buffs, making it an excellent premium support weapon. Xiphos’ Moonlight is another particularly strong option because it converts Kazuha’s high Elemental Mastery into Energy Recharge for both himself and his teammates.
Iron Sting is a simple craftable F2P choice when Kazuha already has enough Energy Recharge. Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is preferable when additional Energy Recharge is needed to maintain his Burst.
3. Recommended Teams
Neuvillette: Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Xilonen
Vaporize: Arlecchino + Yelan + Kazuha + Bennett
Aggravate: Keqing + Fischl + Kazuha + Nahida
Kazuha fits into an enormous variety of teams because triggering Swirl activates two important forms of support: Viridescent Venerer reduces enemy resistance, while his Ascension passive grants the party an Elemental DMG Bonus based on his Elemental Mastery.
He is especially valuable when the team’s main damage comes from Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. His Skill also groups smaller enemies, allowing both on-field and off-field attacks to hit multiple targets more consistently.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: Elemental Mastery / Energy Recharge
Goblet: Elemental Mastery
Circlet: Elemental Mastery
Priority: Energy Recharge until needed → Elemental Mastery → CRIT Rate with Favonius
Kazuha generally wants as much Elemental Mastery as possible after meeting his Energy requirements. Every point of EM increases his Swirl damage while also increasing the Elemental DMG Bonus granted by his Ascension passive.
An EM Sands is preferred when Energy requirements are already covered. If Kazuha cannot use his Burst reliably, however, an Energy Recharge Sands or ER weapon can be more valuable than simply stacking additional EM.
5. Playstyle
Apply the element you want to buff first, then use Kazuha’s Elemental Skill to trigger Swirl and activate Viridescent Venerer. Follow with his Plunging Attack to deal additional damage and group nearby enemies.
His Elemental Burst creates a large Anemo field that can absorb Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo and repeatedly deal damage. Properly controlling which element Kazuha Swirls and absorbs can be important in reaction-focused teams.
Kazuha requires very little field time in a standard support rotation. Set up the appropriate elemental aura, use his Skill and Burst as needed, then switch to the main damage dealer while his buffs and resistance reduction are active.
6. F2P
Kazuha is extremely F2P-friendly because his core support value comes from Elemental Mastery and Viridescent Venerer, not his signature weapon.
Iron Sting is craftable and provides a large amount of Elemental Mastery, while Fleuve Cendre Ferryman can solve Energy problems without requiring a limited weapon. Favonius Sword is also an excellent choice when available because it helps provide Energy for the entire team.
F2P players should prioritize Level 90, enough Energy Recharge for reliable rotations, and triple-EM Viridescent Venerer artifacts before worrying about premium weapons.
*StoryBillion Tip: Kazuha’s Elemental DMG buff depends on his Elemental Mastery, but more EM is not useful if his rotation becomes unreliable. Meet his Energy Recharge requirement first, then stack EM—the goal is to maintain both his Burst and his powerful Elemental DMG buff consistently.
