Role: Anemo Support / Off-Field Buffer
Best For: Players who want a low-field-time Anemo support that provides teamwide damage buffs and becomes especially valuable alongside Hexerei Anemo damage dealers.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Celestial Gift — A strong support option for Prune, providing Energy Recharge and a teamwide Elemental DMG buff, especially in Hexerei teams.
Alternative: 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer is excellent when supporting Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo damage, allowing Prune to reduce enemy Elemental RES through Swirl.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: Skyward Atlas
Alternatives: Favonius Codex, Oathsworn Eye
F2P: Flowing Purity
Prune benefits heavily from ATK because her Tolling Rally damage buff scales with her ATK above 2,000, up to its maximum benefit at 4,000 ATK. Energy Recharge is also important because her Burst enables the main support effect.
3. Recommended Teams
Varka Hexerei: Varka + Prune + Durin + Nicole
Venti Hexerei: Venti + Prune + Durin + Nicole
Neuvillette: Neuvillette + Furina + Prune + Albedo
Prune can provide a general damage buff to the active character, but she becomes particularly valuable in Hexerei Anemo teams, where her Secret Rite effect can additionally provide an ATK buff to the Anemo Hexerei character triggering Swirl.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: ATK% / Energy Recharge
Goblet: ATK%
Circlet: ATK% / CRIT Rate with Favonius
Priority: Energy Recharge until needed → ATK% → CRIT Rate with Favonius
Prune wants enough Energy Recharge to use her Burst consistently, then as much ATK as practical. Around 4,000 ATK after buffs maximizes the ATK-based portion of her Tolling Rally damage buff, although Hexerei team buffs can substantially reduce how much ATK she needs from artifacts.
5. Playstyle
Use Prune’s Elemental Skill for Anemo damage and Energy generation, then activate her Burst to summon the Witchlure Bell. When the Bell triggers Swirl, it activates Prune’s Tolling Rally support effect before she switches to the main damage dealer.
Prune requires relatively little field time and primarily relies on her Burst for support. Prioritize Burst → Skill, while her Normal Attack can generally remain unleveled.
6. F2P
Prune does not require a limited 5-star Catalyst to provide her core buffs. Energy Recharge weapons are particularly useful when they allow her to maintain reliable Burst uptime, while ATK-focused options become stronger once her Energy requirements are already covered.
F2P players should prioritize enough Energy Recharge first, then build ATK toward her buff threshold. Expensive CRIT-focused equipment is unnecessary for a standard support build.
*StoryBillion Tip: Prune’s support build is unusual for an Anemo character—Elemental Mastery is not her main stat. Her important buff scales with ATK, so after securing enough Energy Recharge for her Burst, focus on ATK rather than automatically building triple EM like Kazuha or Sucrose.
