Role: On-Field Cryo DPS / Normal & Charged Attack Carry
Best For: Players who want a fast on-field Cryo damage dealer, especially in Stellar-Conduct teams, while retaining Freeze and Reverse Melt alternatives.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow — Recommended for Stellar-Conduct Wriothesley because it directly improves his performance in his strongest current team archetype.
Alternative: 4-Piece Marechaussee Hunter is an excellent general option and remains recommended for Freeze, Reverse Melt, and other non-Stellar teams. It also performs only slightly behind Disenchantment in Stellar-Conduct teams.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: Cashflow Supervision
Alternatives: Tulaytullah’s Remembrance, Reliquary of Truth, The Widsith
F2P: Flowing Purity
Cashflow Supervision is Wriothesley’s signature weapon and works particularly well with his Normal Attack-focused gameplay while also improving Stellar-Conduct damage. Flowing Purity is his recommended free craftable option, although before C4 it works most comfortably when the team includes a healer who can clear its Bond of Life.
3. Recommended Teams
Stellar-Conduct: Wriothesley + Odette + Yae Miko + Escoffier
Freeze: Wriothesley + Escoffier + Furina + Shenhe
Mono Cryo: Wriothesley + Escoffier + Shenhe + Layla
Stellar-Conduct is currently Wriothesley’s strongest intended playstyle. Odette can enable his enhanced attacks to deal Stellar-Conduct damage, while an Electro teammate such as Yae Miko completes the reaction setup.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: ATK% / Elemental Mastery
Goblet: ATK% / Elemental Mastery
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Priority: CRIT → ATK% / Elemental Mastery
For Stellar-Conduct, Wriothesley should not use a Cryo DMG Bonus Goblet, because Stellar-Conduct damage does not scale with Elemental DMG Bonus. ATK% or Elemental Mastery is preferred instead. He also does not need Energy Recharge because his Burst is normally skipped in this playstyle.
5. Playstyle
Use Wriothesley’s Elemental Skill before beginning his Normal and Charged Attack sequence. His gameplay revolves around remaining on-field and repeatedly using his enhanced attacks, so avoiding interruption is important for maintaining his combo.
In Stellar-Conduct teams, his N3, N5, and special Charged Attack can deal Stellar-Conduct damage when the reaction is properly enabled. Prioritize his Normal Attack Talent first, followed by his Elemental Skill. His Burst is not important for standard Stellar-Conduct rotations.
6. F2P
Wriothesley can perform well without Cashflow Supervision. Flowing Purity is craftable and provides a strong DMG Bonus, making it his recommended free weapon for general use.
Players without premium Stellar-Conduct teammates can still use Wriothesley in Freeze or Reverse Melt teams, although his current Stellar-Conduct teams have a significantly higher performance ceiling. Focus first on a strong artifact set and balanced CRIT and ATK rather than treating his signature weapon as necessary.
*StoryBillion Tip: Wriothesley’s current Stellar-Conduct build is different from his older Cryo builds. Do not automatically equip a Cryo DMG Bonus Goblet—Stellar-Conduct does not benefit from Elemental DMG Bonus, so ATK% or Elemental Mastery is preferred for this playstyle.
