Xiangling

4-Piece Emblem of Severed Fate — Recommended for Xiangling because it provides Energy Recharge while increasing Elemental Burst damage based on her Energy Recharge, directly supporting Pyronado and its high Energy requirement.

Alternative: 4-Piece Crimson Witch of Flames can work well in reaction-heavy teams, while strong 2-Piece combinations using Energy Recharge, Pyro DMG, Elemental Mastery, or ATK can serve as transitional options.

For general use, Emblem of Severed Fate is the most practical set because Xiangling needs both reliable Burst uptime and strong Burst damage.

Premium: Staff of Homa / Engulfing Lightning
Alternatives: Dragon’s Bane, Favonius Lance
F2P: The Catch

Xiangling has many viable Polearm choices because she can benefit from Energy Recharge, CRIT, ATK, and Elemental Mastery depending on the team.

The Catch is particularly valuable because it provides Energy Recharge while directly improving Elemental Burst damage and CRIT Rate. This makes it an excellent F2P weapon for a character whose damage is heavily concentrated in her Burst.

Favonius Lance can be useful when additional team Energy is more important, while Dragon’s Bane becomes attractive in reaction-focused teams where Xiangling benefits heavily from Elemental Mastery.

International: Tartaglia + Xiangling + Bennett + Kazuha
Raiden National: Raiden Shogun + Xingqiu + Xiangling + Bennett
Vaporize: Mualani + Xiangling + Xilonen + Zhongli

Xiangling is especially valuable because Pyronado remains active after she leaves the field, allowing the active character to continue attacking while Xiangling provides Pyro damage and application from off-field.

Bennett is a particularly useful partner because he provides an ATK buff, healing, Pyro Resonance, and helps Xiangling meet her Energy requirements. Hydro teammates can enable Vaporize, while other team compositions can use Xiangling primarily for reliable off-field Pyro application.

Sands: Energy Recharge / ATK% / Elemental Mastery
Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Priority: Energy Recharge as needed → CRIT → Elemental Mastery / ATK%

Xiangling’s Energy requirements can vary substantially depending on her weapon, teammates, and rotation. The important goal is having enough Energy Recharge to use Pyronado every rotation rather than chasing a single fixed ER number.

Once her Energy needs are satisfied, CRIT becomes a major priority. Elemental Mastery is particularly useful when Xiangling consistently triggers reactions such as Vaporize, while ATK% gains more value in teams where she triggers fewer reactions.

Use Xiangling’s Elemental Skill to summon Guoba, then set up the buffs and elemental application needed for the rotation before using Pyronado.

Her Elemental Burst creates a rotating Pyronado that follows the active character and continues dealing Pyro damage even after Xiangling switches out. This allows her to spend very little time on-field while still contributing significant damage throughout the rotation.

Pyronado also snapshots many of Xiangling’s stats when it is cast, meaning buffs active at the time of casting can continue affecting its damage after Xiangling leaves the field. This makes the order of your team rotation important.

Whenever possible, apply important buffs before casting Pyronado, then switch to the character responsible for driving reactions or dealing on-field damage.

Xiangling is one of the easiest characters to build effectively without a premium 5-star weapon because The Catch is obtainable through fishing and directly supports her Burst-focused playstyle.

She also works extremely well with Bennett, another 4-star character, making it possible to build a powerful Pyro core without relying entirely on limited 5-star characters.

For F2P players, prioritize enough Energy Recharge to maintain consistent Pyronado uptime before investing heavily into offensive stats. A Xiangling with slightly lower CRIT but reliable Burst availability will generally function much better than one with impressive offensive stats who cannot Burst consistently.
