Gorou

4-Piece The Exile — A practical support option that helps restore Energy to Gorou’s teammates whenever he uses his Elemental Burst.
Alternative: 4-Piece Noblesse Oblige can provide a teamwide ATK buff, while 2-Piece Energy Recharge combinations can be used when Gorou needs additional Energy.

Premium: Elegy for the End
Alternatives: Sacrificial Bow
F2P: Favonius Warbow

Favonius Warbow is especially useful because Gorou’s personal damage is not his priority. Its Energy Recharge and particle generation help maintain his Burst while also supporting Energy-hungry Geo teammates.

Itto: Arataki Itto + Gorou + Chiori + Zhongli
Noelle Furina: Noelle + Gorou + Furina + C2 Xilonen
Noelle Furina: Noelle + Gorou + Furina + Yelan

Gorou becomes more effective as additional Geo characters are added to the team. With three Geo characters, his Skill provides DEF, interruption resistance, and Geo DMG Bonus, making him particularly valuable for DEF-scaling Geo carries.

Sands: Energy Recharge
Goblet: DEF%
Circlet: CRIT Rate with Favonius / DEF%
Priority: Energy Recharge → CRIT Rate with Favonius → DEF%

Gorou primarily needs enough Energy Recharge to use his Burst consistently. His core Skill buffs do not scale with his own DEF, so stacking DEF is much less important unless additional healing from his C4 is desired.

Use Gorou’s Elemental Skill to create his General’s War Banner, then activate his Burst when available before switching to your Geo damage dealer.

His Burst provides the same buffs as his Skill while moving the buffing field with the active character and periodically pulling nearby Crystallize shards toward them. Prioritize Skill → Burst and leave his Normal Attack unleveled for a standard support build.

Gorou is highly F2P-friendly because his most important support buffs come from his talent levels and team composition rather than expensive weapons or artifact stats.

Favonius Warbow is an excellent accessible weapon if available. Focus on Energy Recharge and enough CRIT Rate to activate Favonius consistently rather than investing heavily into Gorou’s personal damage.
