Role: On-Field Pyro DPS / Flexible Off-Field Pyro DPS
Best For: Players who want a powerful and flexible Pyro damage dealer with strong reaction potential, high mobility, and both on-field and off-field options.
1. Recommended Artifacts
4-Piece Obsidian Codex — Recommended for on-field Mavuika because she can reliably activate its CRIT Rate bonus while consuming Nightsoul points, making it easier to build strong CRIT stats alongside her Pyro damage.
Alternative: 4-Piece Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City can be useful when Mavuika is played primarily as an off-field Pyro character or team support rather than the main on-field damage dealer.
Her artifact choice should therefore depend on how you plan to use her. Obsidian Codex focuses more heavily on Mavuika’s personal on-field damage, while Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City shifts more value toward supporting the rest of the team.
2. Recommended Weapons
Premium: A Thousand Blazing Suns
Alternatives: Beacon of the Reed Sea, Serpent Spine
F2P: Mailed Flower, Tidal Shadow
A Thousand Blazing Suns is Mavuika’s signature weapon and naturally complements her damage-focused playstyle. Strong CRIT or ATK-focused Claymores can also perform well, so her signature weapon is not required to make her an effective damage dealer.
For F2P players, Mailed Flower can be useful in reaction-focused teams, while Tidal Shadow provides an accessible ATK-focused option when its passive can be activated consistently.
3. Recommended Teams
Melt: Mavuika + Citlali + Xilonen + Bennett
Vaporize: Mavuika + Furina + Xilonen + Bennett
Vaporize (Kazuha): Mavuika + Furina + Bennett + Kazuha
Mavuika works especially well with teammates who can both enable strong Pyro reactions and help generate Fighting Spirit. Characters that consume Nightsoul points are particularly valuable because Mavuika converts that consumption into Fighting Spirit for her Elemental Burst.
Her teams do not have to follow a single fixed composition, however. Hydro or Cryo teammates can enable Vaporize or Melt, while buffers and resistance-reducing supports can further increase her personal damage.
4. Main Stats / Substats
Sands: ATK% / Elemental Mastery
Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus
Circlet: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Priority: CRIT → ATK% → Elemental Mastery
ATK% is a straightforward Sands choice for general use, while Elemental Mastery becomes more valuable when Mavuika consistently triggers reactions such as Vaporize or Melt.
When using 4-Piece Obsidian Codex, remember that the set already provides a substantial amount of CRIT Rate. This can make CRIT DMG particularly valuable when balancing her final stats.
5. Playstyle
Set up your supports first, then switch to Mavuika once you have prepared the reactions and buffs needed for her main damage window.
Holding her Elemental Skill summons the Flamestrider, converting her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks into Nightsoul-aligned Pyro damage. Tapping the Skill instead creates the Ring of Searing Radiance, which follows the active character and periodically deals Pyro damage, allowing Mavuika to function off-field as well.
Mavuika’s Elemental Burst works differently from a normal Burst because it does not use Elemental Energy. Instead, she builds Fighting Spirit when nearby party members consume Nightsoul points or hit enemies with Normal Attacks. Using her Burst then consumes the accumulated Fighting Spirit, with more Fighting Spirit increasing the damage of her Burst and enhanced attacks.
This makes team setup especially important. Rather than building Energy Recharge for Mavuika herself, focus on teammates and rotations that allow her to build Fighting Spirit efficiently.
6. F2P
Mavuika remains highly functional without her signature weapon. Accessible Claymores such as Mailed Flower and Tidal Shadow can support different versions of her build, and several strong teammates can be assembled without relying entirely on limited 5-star characters.
F2P players should prioritize a strong artifact set, balanced CRIT and ATK stats, and a team capable of generating Fighting Spirit consistently before worrying about premium weapon upgrades.
Because Mavuika’s Burst does not depend on Elemental Energy, Energy Recharge should not be treated as a normal build priority for her Burst. Her team composition and Fighting Spirit generation matter much more.
*StoryBillion Tip: Mavuika’s biggest difference from most DPS characters is her Fighting Spirit mechanic. If her Burst feels inconsistent, do not immediately try to solve the problem with more Energy Recharge. Check whether your teammates are consuming Nightsoul points or using enough Normal Attacks to generate Fighting Spirit instead.
