4-Piece Marechaussee Hunter — Recommended for Lyney because his Charged Attacks naturally change his HP, making it easy to activate the set’s CRIT Rate bonus while also increasing Charged Attack damage.
Alternative: 4-Piece Lavawalker can work well in teams that consistently keep Pyro applied to enemies.

F2P: Song of Stillness
Lyney benefits strongly from weapons that increase CRIT and his personal damage. His signature weapon is particularly well suited to his Charged Attack-focused playstyle and Pyro-heavy teams.

Mono Pyro: Lyney + Bennett + Xiangling + Kazuha
Defensive Pyro: Lyney + Bennett + Dehya + Kazuha
Pyro Support: Lyney + Bennett + Nicole + Kazuha
Lyney naturally favors Pyro-heavy teams. His Conclusive Ovation passive increases his damage against enemies affected by Pyro and provides an additional increase for other Pyro characters in the party.

Circlet: CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate
Priority: CRIT → ATK% → Energy Recharge
With 4-Piece Marechaussee Hunter providing a large amount of CRIT Rate, a CRIT DMG Circlet will often be the more practical choice. Energy Recharge is mainly valuable when you want to use Lyney’s Elemental Burst every rotation.
5. Playstyle
Lyney’s main damage comes from his fully charged Prop Arrows. When he fires one while above 60% HP, he consumes some HP and gains a Prop Surplus stack. His Prop Arrows also summon Grin-Malkin Hats that can taunt nearby enemies.
Build Prop Surplus stacks with Charged Attacks, use his Elemental Burst as part of the rotation, and then use his Elemental Skill to consume the accumulated stacks for increased damage while restoring Lyney’s HP.
Because Lyney needs time to aim his Charged Attacks, interruption resistance, shielding, or good positioning can make him considerably more comfortable to play.
6. F2P
Lyney does not require a 5-star weapon to function effectively. Song of Stillness is an accessible craftable option, while Bennett and Xiangling can provide strong Pyro teammates without requiring additional limited 5-star characters.
F2P players should prioritize a strong Marechaussee Hunter set and balanced CRIT and ATK stats before worrying about obtaining a premium weapon.

Keeping Pyro on enemies and bringing additional Pyro teammates directly supports his passive, making Pyro-heavy teams one of the most natural ways to play him.
