Finding an empty Seelie Court in Genshin Impact usually means there is a Seelie somewhere nearby.
Instead of searching the entire area at random, there is a simple trick that can point you in the right direction: use Elemental Sight near the empty Seelie Court.
This small exploration feature is easy to miss, but it can make finding a missing Seelie much easier.
Use Elemental Sight Near the Empty Seelie Court
Walk close to the empty Seelie Court and activate Elemental Sight.
A faint elemental trail should appear from the Court, pointing in the general direction of its missing Seelie.
You can then head in that direction and search the surrounding area instead of checking everywhere nearby.
On PC, Elemental Sight can normally be activated with the middle mouse button. On other platforms, use the Elemental Sight control shown for your device.
How to Find the Seelie Step by Step
When you find an empty Seelie Court:
- Stand close to the Seelie Court.
- Activate Elemental Sight.
- Look for the elemental trail coming from the Court.
- Follow the direction indicated by the trail.
- Search the surrounding terrain in that direction for the Seelie.
- Once you find it, approach the Seelie and follow it back to its Court.
After the Seelie reaches its destination, you can usually collect the reward associated with it.
The Trail Shows a Direction, Not the Exact Location
One important thing to know is that the Elemental Sight trail does not necessarily lead all the way to the Seelie.
Think of it more like an arrow pointing you in the correct general direction.
If the trail appears to point toward a cliff, wall, or even underground, continue searching in that direction and check the surrounding terrain.
The Seelie may be:
- Above or below your current position
- Behind terrain or another object
- Inside a nearby cave or passage
- Farther away than you expected
- Connected to another exploration mechanic or puzzle
So if you reach the end of the visible trail and still cannot see the Seelie, don’t assume Elemental Sight failed. Keep searching farther in the direction it indicated.
Try Elemental Sight Again If You Lose the Direction
You don’t have to remember the direction after checking it once.
If you become unsure where you were heading, return to the empty Seelie Court and activate Elemental Sight again.
This can be especially useful in areas with cliffs, caves, multiple elevations, or complicated terrain where the direction isn’t immediately obvious.
Why This Trick Is Easy to Miss
Genshin Impact does provide this information through its in-game tips, but it is surprisingly easy to overlook.
Elemental Sight is often associated with quests and following elemental traces, so you may not think to use it when you simply find an empty Seelie Court while exploring.
But Seelie tracking is one of its useful exploration functions.
The next time you find an empty Court and can’t locate its Seelie, try Elemental Sight before searching the entire area manually.
Quick Tip
Empty Seelie Court → Elemental Sight → Follow the indicated direction → Search for the Seelie.
It won’t reveal the exact location, but it can dramatically narrow down where you need to look.
