The Omni-Ubiquity Net lets you capture certain animals in Genshin Impact and place copies of them inside your Serenitea Pot.

Why Did My Elemental Skill Change?

When the Omni-Ubiquity Net is activated, it temporarily replaces your character’s Elemental Skill with the Net-throwing ability.
This is how you aim and capture creatures.
So if you activate the Gadget and suddenly cannot use your normal Skill, the game has not disabled your character’s ability permanently.
You are simply in the Net’s capture mode.
After the relevant state ends, your normal Elemental Skill becomes available again.
Why Did the Net Miss the Animal?
Even if an animal is capturable, you still need to hit it.
Many creatures react when you approach them.
They may:
- run away
- fly away
- move suddenly
- disappear before the Net lands

Capturable animal + missed throw = no capture.
The fact that a creature has the Net icon does not guarantee that every attempt will succeed.
How Do You Make Animals Easier to Capture?
Try approaching carefully and aiming before getting too close.
Characters with exploration abilities that reduce the chance of startling certain animals can also make wildlife easier to approach.
The important part is giving yourself enough time to aim the Net before the creature escapes.
If an animal constantly runs away before you can throw, the problem may be your approach rather than the animal’s capture eligibility.
Is the Omni-Ubiquity Net Consumed If You Miss?
No.
Missing your target does not consume one of your Omni-Ubiquity Nets.
Likewise, attempting to use the Net on an invalid target does not consume it.
The item is consumed when you successfully capture a valid creature.
So you do not need to worry about losing a Net simply because your throw missed.
Is the Omni-Ubiquity Net Reusable?

Why Can’t I Buy Unlimited Omni-Ubiquity Nets?
The shop limits how many you can purchase during each weekly period.
This means you cannot necessarily decide to capture dozens of animals at once and immediately buy enough Nets for all of them.
If you are planning a large Serenitea Pot wildlife collection, it can be useful to buy Nets periodically rather than waiting until you need a large number.
Is the Omni-Ubiquity Net the Same as the Ubiquity Net?
No.
These names are easy to confuse.

Why Don’t I Have the Omni-Ubiquity Net?

Why Can’t I Find the Captured Animal in My Normal Inventory?

That animal cannot be captured.
